How a visit goes

About an hour,door to door.

First time? It’s the same four steps, with a few more questions at the start.

  1. 1

Pick a drip and a time

Book a chair online, or pick a window for a home visit. Not sure which drip? Choose “Help me decide”.

  2. 2

A short screen with your nurse

Blood pressure, pulse, a few questions about your health and medicines. If a drip isn’t right for you, we’ll say so, and you won’t pay.

  3. 3

Sit back for 30 to 60 minutes

Reclining chair, heated blanket, low lights, phone chargers at every seat. Your nurse checks in throughout.

  4. 4

    Back to your day

Most guests walk straight out to whatever is next. We’ll text a short note on how you got on.

Who looks after you

Nurses at every chair.A doctor behind every drip.

HO

Medical Director

Dr. Helena Okafor, MD

Twelve years in emergency medicine. Helena writes our protocols, reviews every new guest’s screening, and decides what we will and won’t offer. If a drip isn’t right for you, she’d rather we said so.

MV

Lead Nurse

Marisol Vega, RN

Nine years on an oncology floor, which makes her very, very good at first-time sticks. She runs the lounge day to day and remembers how you take your blanket.

OT

Home Visit Nurse

Owen Thatcher, RN

Owen covers our house, hotel and office calls. He arrives with everything in one bag, sets up in five minutes and leaves no trace but a bandage.

PR

Lounge Nurse

Priya Raman, RN

Came to us from a cardiac step-down unit. Priya walks every guest through their screening and is the reason our Saturday mornings run on time.

What guests say

“I booked at lunch, sat in a chair by two and was back at my desk by three. The nurse found my vein first try, which has never happened to me anywhere.”

Lauren B. · Member since spring

“Owen came to our rental the morning after my sister’s wedding. Six of us, one living room, zero fuss. He checked everyone’s blood pressure before he started.”

Marcus T. · Home visit, group of six

“It’s the quietest hour of my month. Dim lights, a heated blanket and nobody asking me for anything. I go after every long-haul trip.”

Dana K. · Drift Monthly member

Questions

Beforeyour first drip.

Anything else, ask a nurse: (512) 555-0148.

Is IV therapy safe for me?
For most healthy adults it is a low-risk, well-understood procedure, but it isn’t right for everyone. Before your first drip a registered nurse screens you (blood pressure, pulse, health history and medicines), and our medical director reviews anything that needs a second look. Some heart and kidney conditions, and pregnancy, mean we’ll suggest you check with your own doctor first.
Will it cure my hangover, cold or tiredness?
No drip cures anything, and we won’t tell you otherwise. Fluids rehydrate you faster than drinking water when you’re depleted, and many guests tell us they feel better afterwards. If you’re unwell, see your doctor.
How long does a visit take?
Plan on an hour from the door to the door: about ten minutes for your screen and the line, then 30 to 60 minutes in the chair depending on the drip.
Does it hurt?
A quick pinch when the line goes in, then nothing. Our nurses place lines all day; if you have tricky veins, tell us when you book and we’ll put you with Marisol.
Do you take insurance?
IV wellness drips aren’t covered by insurance, which is why every price is on the menu. Most HSA and FSA cards work; ask your plan whether your drip qualifies.
Can I walk in?
Yes, whenever a chair is open. The board on our home page shows today’s open chairs, or call and we’ll hold one for 20 minutes.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel or move a chair up to two hours before at no charge. Home visits need four hours’ notice, as your nurse may already be on the road.
